Griffiths Senior Center Black Diamond

Upon His knees He softly wept
His friends were not in sight
This the eve of destiny
His soul so filled with fright

He saw the future in this night
The pain He would endure
Knew the meaning of His life
This gentle Heart Savior

Looked up into the heavens
He felt so all alone
An ordinary Man He was
For world He must atone

Weight of sins upon His heart
He felt each painful blow
Prayed for cup to pass from Him
Was filled with deep sorrow

All His friends were fast asleep
Not one to comfort there
Experienced the days ahead
His Father proud and near

An ordinary Man He was
Who walked upon this earth
Removing sins from all the world
His Cross was our rebirth.
